Do you have a minimum order?
As a wholesale wine merchant we are licensed to sell a minimum of 12 bottles (x9L). However if you are looking for an amount of less than 12 please contact our office and we can advise accordingly.
How do I order?
If you are a new trade customer please get in touch with our office via the contact form on the website or email email@example.com or call our office team on 0141 882 0039 and we will put you in touch with a representative in your area. When you are ready to place an order this can be done by email to firstname.lastname@example.org or call 0141 882 0039 to place your order over the phone. We will set up a trade log in for you so that you can view our current trade price list.
If you are a private customer, please add wines to your wishlist, fill out the contact form and we will then get in touch with you regarding prices and delivery. Or better yet, join our Alexander Wine Club and get bespoke wine choices delivered to your door.
What do you offer trade clients?
Alexander wines offers our trade clients a personal and friendly service. We have an extensive list of wines from small independent vineyards. We work with you to get you the perfect wine list for your establishment. We provide support in the form of tasting and training, menu design and printing and flexible delivery options. When I add wine to the wishlist, is it reserved for me?
No, if you need to find out whether your item is in stock please use the contact form beside your wishlist or email email@example.com or call 0141 882 0039 to find out about stock levels.
Where do you deliver?
We can deliver all over the UK. Our own delivery vans cover Glasgow and parts of Scotland. We use a small number of trusted courier companies for the areas we don’t cover.
How much is delivery?
Trade customers: Delivery is free Mon to Fri.
Private customers: Delivery is free if the area is covered by our vans. Otherwise there is a £12 (inc VAT) charge for the rest of the UK and a £20 (inc VAT) charge for a Saturday delivery.
Can I choose a specific delivery day?
Yes. In our own vans we have specific runs during the week but if this does not suit you then we will endeavour to sort something out. The other option would be a carrier delivery that would incur a charge. Please call our office team on 0141 882 0039 to discuss.
Can I collect my order?
Yes, if this is more convenient to you then we can organise a time for you to collect from our warehouse. Our hours are Monday – Friday 9am – 5.30pm
My order has not arrived, what should I do?
Please call our office on 0141 882 0039 and we will endeavour to sort this out for you.
My order is a gift. Can I include a message?
Yes, of course. Simply let us know at the time of your order by typing it in the wish list box or when you place the order over the phone.
Do you sell beer, spirits and soft drinks?
No, we only sell wine. We love the stuff!
Why are there no prices on your website?
This is a trade website so we don’t have any prices to show to the general public. But if you are interested in buying our wine, please get in touch via the wishlist or call to speak to one of our office team who could let you know what outlets we sell to.
If I am looking for a particular wine. Can you source it for me?
Unfortunately, we are unable to order small amounts of wines that we don’t already stock for one-off orders. However, our office staff are very knowledgeable, and will be very happy to help you choose an alternative wine from our range according to your chosen style and budget.
I bought a specific year but I got sent a different vintage. Why?
By its very nature, wine is a product in a finite supply and vintages can often run out or be replaced at very short notice. We always endeavour to keep the information on the website up to date but we do reserve the right to send out different vintages from the ones advertised without notice. If you are especially keen on a specific vintage, please do call us on 0141 882 0039 beforehand.
How will I know if wine I have ordered is out of stock?
Very occasionally we may run out of a particular wine without notice. Should this be the case we will be in touch to let you know when it will be back in stock and recommend an alternative if required.
What if my wine arrives damaged/broken?
We’re happy to refund any product which is received broken. Please contact us directly on 0141 882 0039 or email firstname.lastname@example.org within 7 days of receipt of your order and we will make the necessary arrangements to refund the broken product as soon as possible following our agreement to do so.
What if my wine is corked?
If you buy a wine from us that is corked or otherwise faulty we will issue a credit provided:
- It was purchased from us in the last 6 months
- It is not a fine wine (over £50 a bottle) or a bin-end
- It has not been damaged or improperly stored
- You still have the wine in the bottle
Please re-seal the bottle with wine inside and contact us to let us know of the problem.

How do I join the wine club?

How does the wine club work?
Cases are tailored to your individual needs and preferences by our passionate and knowledgeable staff. Choose between an £100 case or a £120 case delivered every month or every two months and spread the cost by a monthly direct debit (no minimum contract). £120+ cases also available. The case price includes at least a 10% discount and is delivered free, with tasting notes on all the wines. As an AW Wine Club member, you will also be invited to exclusive tastings and events and have access to our WSET accredited courses. All this can be arranged with our office team.
